Awhina is a maori word that means to assist, help or support. Our logo represents assist and the body of a manaia (bird and sea) in maori. Blending our cultural backgrounds, beliefs and experiences to assist with improving the health and wellbeing of people. Along our travels we have been gifted indigenous artwork that features throughout our website.
We both have worked in health for many years and during our journey, we have experienced highs and lows, gains and losses of community and family members.
Our service is enriched because of our many talents and lived experiences in life - our own personal journeys. We work with people from all different cultural backgrounds, beliefs and values.
We would love to sit and talk (yarn/korero) with you, to hear your experiences from your journey and help you to achieve your goals.
Send us a message with any questions or concerns, and we'll get back to you with answers as soon as we can.
